Guacamaya, June 16, 2025. The first international edition of the “Made in Venezuela” business fair began this Monday, June 16, in the city of Istanbul. This event is part of a strategy to internationalize Venezuelan products, as well as to strengthen trade ties between Venezuela and Turkey.
The event, which will last two days, features the participation of more than 100 Venezuelan companies from various sectors, including food, beverages, apparel, technology, and tourism. The goal of this initiative is to showcase more than 500 national products in order to position Venezuela’s export offering in the Eurasian market.
This initiative was promoted by the Venezuelan government as part of the actions framed within the Plan of the 7 Transformations (7T) and the 13 economic engines, which aim to diversify the national economy and strengthen the non-oil trade balance. In 2024, this exchange reached approximately 500 million dollars, representing a 29% increase compared to the previous year.
As part of the activities related to the event, the program also includes diplomatic meetings, business roundtables, and the integration of more than 70 Turkish companies interested in establishing alliances with Venezuelan firms. The event will position Turkey as a strategic bridge for Venezuelan trade towards Asia and Europe.
The president of the Marca País Institute, Daniella Cabello, and the Ministers of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Coromoto Godoy and Leticia Gómez, have led the Venezuelan delegation. The representatives have already held key meetings with the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSIAD).
“The ‘Made in Venezuela’ Business Fair in Istanbul is an exciting opportunity to join forces, explore new opportunities, and open paths to investments that benefit both countries,” said Daniella Cabello, also president of the Export Promotion Agency, a few days ago. The cooperation seeks to overcome restrictions imposed in the context of sanctions.
