Guacamaya, October 21, 2026. The founder of Grupo LIDE and former governor of São Paulo, João Doria, and the organization’s president and global CEO, João Doria Neto, held a meeting with representatives of Orinoco Research to establish new ties between the Brazilian business community and the Venezuelan market.

The meeting was attended by Elías Ferrer, director and founder of Orinoco Research, and Albern Mendoza, an advisor to the firm, who discussed the possibilities of bringing Brazil’s leading business groups, banks and investors closer to the business opportunities offered by Venezuela.

One of the main objectives of the rapprochement is to promote Grupo LIDE’s arrival in Venezuela, which would allow the country to join one of Brazil’s most influential business leadership ecosystems and facilitate direct contact with major corporations and financial institutions.

Grupo LIDE has a presence in more than 30 countries, brings together more than 2,000 companies and connects some 4,000 business leaders. According to the organization’s own data, its affiliated companies account for more than 52% of Brazil’s private GDP, reflecting its convening power and influence in the business sector.

A LIDE summit is expected on November 13 in Paraguay, which President Santiago Peña will attend.

For its part, Orinoco Research seeks to play a strategic role in connecting international capital with the Venezuelan market, through its expertise in economic analysis, market intelligence and identifying investment opportunities.

The meeting in São Paulo represents a first approach to explore cooperation mechanisms that would allow expanding the presence of Brazilian investors in Venezuela and strengthening economic ties between both countries.
