Guacamaya, April 29, 2025. Venezuela’s Executive Vice President and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived in Qatar on Monday as part of her latest international tour, where she met with the head of state, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Rodríguez was returning from her visit to China, where she stopped in Beijing and Shanghai. Among her key meetings were discussions with Han Zheng and representatives from the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
Qatar has signed trade and investment agreements with Venezuela. However, the most significant aspect has been Doha’s role as a facilitator of dialogue between the U.S. and Venezuelan governments.
In his weekly program, President Nicolás Maduro also announced that a new air route between Doha and Caracas will soon open. Starting in June, Qatar Airways will operate a weekly flight with a stopover in Bogotá.
