Guacamaya, May 27, 2025. Even without the full results being published by the National Electoral Council (CNE), the pro-government politician Jorge Rodríguez has already named a list of opposition party deputies for the new National Assembly.
In a conversation on the program Con Maduro +, the president of the Venezuelan parliament stated that the new session will have 256 deputies from the Great Patriotic Pole and 29 from other parties, meaning the pro-government bloc will hold 90% of the seats.
On Sunday night, the CNE stated that it had finished counting 93% of the polling stations and that the opposition would have 6 deputies while the pro-government side would have 34 in the “national list” district. There would still be 10 seats left to determine.
In the National Assembly elected in 2020, with a similar abstention context, the ruling Great Patriotic Pole won 256 out of 277 seats.
